Last, but not least, here is the frame that I made for Rachel. Rachel is lucky because she has six letters in her name and got a personalized frame instead of the standard "family" frame. Rachel also loves cherry's so I used the retired Summer Picnic DSP to make this frame for her. I also tried to use as much of the cherry paper as I could, without going overboard ;)
I hope that everyone enjoyed the frames as much as I enjoyed making them!
Supplies
Paper: Summer Picnic DSP (r), Real Red, Old Olive
Accessories: 2 way glue, snail adhesive, serif essentials bigz alphabet die set, scallop trim border punch, 8 1/2 x 11 document frame (I had to trim my project ever so slightly on the sides to get it to fit so you may wish to get a slightly larger frame)

Christmas Present - Part 5
Now that I've given out all my Christmas presents, I can post the last two frames that I've made. This frame was made for Rae Anne and for her adorable little boy Cole. This frame is a little different because "Cole" is obviously shorter than "family" so Rae Anne has more spots for pictures. I used the Nursery Nest DSP which I think is a great baby paper. It does have some pink and blue but it can definitely be used on gender neutral projects.
Supplies
Paper: Nursery Nest DSP, Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz

Bold Blossom
While checking out some of my favorite blogs for ideas, I came across this great card made by the fabulous Julie Davison. I tweaked the card a little bit to use the supplies I had. I also got my color inspiration from this week's colourQ challenge. The original card included three butterflies but the first card that I made only had one. As I was putting it together, I started at the bottom and I thought the card looked really good with just the butterfly at the bottom so I left it that way.
Here is the card with the three butterflies as it was originally intended.
Stamps: Bold Blossom
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo
Accessories: Snail adhesive, Stampin' UP! dimensionals, postage stamp punch, 1 3/4 square punch, flower brad - brights, perfect polka dots textured impressions embossing folder die

Scrapbooking at Rachel's
Last night I went to Rachel's for scrapbook club where we made this awesome scrapbook page. I have about 500 photos from my wedding, bridal shower, and honeymoon that still haven't been scraped after 2 1/2 years so I decided to make a page using some of those pictures. Rachel's layout was great but when I was picking my pictures I found that Jeremy and I hardly ever take portrait pictures. Nearly all of our pictures were landscape. Luckily I found enough to make my page.
When I go to scrapbook club I usually never pick out colors or designer series papers (DSP) before I get there. I was going to use the retired set of Sweet Always, which I used to make my wedding invitations, unless Rachel had another paper that I just had to use instead. She of course did and so I ended up using the new Twitterpated designer series paper that is in the current Occasions mini catalog. I love the paper but haven't had a chance to order any for myself yet so I was very happy to get to use some for this page. I had a hard time picking out which colors I wanted to use after I picked out the DSP but I love how the page turned out.
Supplies
Paper: Twitterpated DSP, blushing bride, pear pizzazz, baja breeze, whisper white
Accessories: 2 way glue, snail adhesive, go go boots sizzlet die, tasteful trim bigz die

Baby Booties
Taking a break from frames for a while (don't worry, they'll be back) and going into baby mode. For my baby shower, Rachel, RaeAnne, Becky and I made these little baby booties and then we put M&Ms in them. These were featured in an Idea Book and Catalog with make a monster and I thought they would be super cute for a baby shower. I still can't decide which of the shoes is my favorite because they all turned out so well. I want to give a special thanks to Becky, RaeAnne, and Rachel for helping me to make them!
Supplies
Stamps: Fox and Friends
Paper: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue
Ink: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue
Accessories: 2 way glue, snail adhesive, sticky strip, boho blossoms punch, 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, whisper white buttons, early espresso buttons, chocolate chip buttons, more mustard buttons (the buttons were used from a variety of different sets both retired and current)

Christmas Present - Part 4
For the fourth frame, I wanted to make a Disney frame for my friend RP because 1. she loves Mickey and 2. to commemorate our trip to Disney last year. I wish that Stampin' UP! made Disney paper but I really think the Big Top Birthday did actually go well with the Mickey/Disney theme. I also love that you can make Mickey and Minnie with punches. I used the 3/4" circle and the 1 3/8" circle punches to make their heads. I also LOVE that you just add a bow to differentiate Minnie from Mickey.
Supplies
Paper: Big Top Birthday DSP, Basic Black, Real Red
Accessories: 2 way glue, snail adhesive, serif essentials bigz alphabet die set, tasteful trim bigz die, 8 1/2 x 11 document frame (I had to trim my project ever so slightly on the sides to get it to fit so you may wish to get a slightly larger frame)

Christmas Present - Part 3
The third frame that I made was for my friend Carolyn. Carolyn and I share a love of argyle and she is a Braves fan so I decided to use the Junior Varsity paper which has both argyle and a blue and red color. I know that Bashful Blue and Rose Red aren't true Braves colors, but I thought it was close enough ;)

Christmas Present - Part 2
This frame was made for my friend Renee. I really love the Cottage Wall DSP and I thought that it would be good for her office. She has some great artwork and plants in her office that I felt would be good with this frame and she does indeed plan to hang it up in her office so I was really happy with how it turned out.

Christmas Present - Part 1
I enjoyed making my wicked frame so much that I made one for Thanksgiving (you'll hopefully see it NEXT year) and then I decided to make some frames for Christmas presents this year. In total I made six frames and I got the supplies for my mom to make a frame for her house too so that she could personalize it how she wanted.
For the first frame, I used the retired Parisian Summer DSP for my friend Josie. I really tried to pick out papers and colors for each person that I felt really fit their personality or their style or what I thought they would like. I also left each of the squares blank, except for where the letters are because I wanted to give them the option to add pictures if they wanted but I also think the DSPs are so pretty that they could be left the way they are.
Supplies
Paper: Parisian Summer DSP (r), Bravo Burgandy, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: 2 way glue, snail adhesive, serif essentials bigz alphabet die set, pinking hearts border punch, 8 1/2 x 11 document frame (I had to trim my project ever so slightly on the sides to get it to fit so you may wish to get a slightly larger frame)

O Christmas Tree
I can't take the credit for these awesome trees. My mother has been making trees this year and she very kindly made me a couple of trees out of the paper of my choice (although these are not the trees she made for me). My mom will be making them and selling them next year so if anyone would like one, please let me know.

Playing Catch Up
We all know that I'm a horrible blogger but this year I also didn't do a very good job with Christmas responsibilities. I didn't get ANY Christmas cards sent and I'm still actually doing some Christmas shopping. One of my goals though for the year is to be a better demonstrator and a part of that will be to keeping my blog updated a little more -- at least until February 19th :)
So now, onto the good stuff. This is the Christmas card that I made for this year. I had all intentions to make more and send these out but time got away from me and I didn't get them out. I normally prefer Christmas cards that aren't just red and green but this year I decided to go traditional and I used the color coach to help me pick the colors. Garden Green and Wild Wasabi are a "dynamic duo" and I thought that using both the greens would give the card a little bit more depth. Also, when I made this card, I didn't have any Stampin' UP! embossing powder and I only had some generic white that I used on the tree to make the snow effect. After having made the card, I have decided that it looks better with clear embossing instead of the white. I also ordered all Stampin' UP! embossing powder and threw away all of my powder that I got at a craft store because the Stampin' UP! product is so much better and easier to work with.
To create the tree, I first stamped the tree in Garden Green and then used Versamark to tap the stamp in different spots on the tree and along the ground. I did this so that when I put on the embossing powder it wouldn't cover the entire tree and I was trying to get a more natural snowy look.
Stamps: Lovely As a Tree, Four the Holidays
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Versamark, Garden Green
Accessories: Heat and stick powder, white embossing powder, snail adhesive
