Glitter Bomb

Two years ago, at our annual Spring into Stamping event, Rachel volunteered to demo decorating Easter eggs using Stampin' UP! products. She died eggs using reinkers, and used rub ons and glitter to decorate them. The eggs turned out so super cute and I, being the glitter lover that I am, asked her to create a page for scrapbook club that we could use glitter on, like she decorated the eggs. She's a great demonstrator and even though she was sick of the glitter she created this great page for us to make.

For my page, I made a generic birthday page and then used pictures from Jeremy's 25th birthday party which was a surprise party. To create the rainbow look on the glitter, we used the Serriff Essentials Bigz die to cut our letters out using Sticky Pages. You stick down your letter, then use a exacto knife (or razor) to cut the letter into sections. You peel up the first section of your backing and glitter with your first color. Brush away the excess glitter, then peel up the backing for the next section. You'll continue this process until you have covered all the letter with your different colored glitters. You can do this with any sticky strip products -- including using the sticky strip itself. On my page, I punched out a couple of stars and glittered those. Stampin' UP! is making it easier for us to use glitter too now that they are coming out with glitter pages which greatly reduces the mess involved. Right now, there are only two colors, but hopefully we'll get some more colors as time goes on:)

**This page was made at Rachel's scrapbook club and the original design is hers**
